Hi I was just cleaning Charlie's cage and I put everything back as is was but then I thought would Charlie like his perches and toys ect. moved around for a change or should I keep his cage the same as he has got use to where everything is, would be grateful for any advice, Charlie is 10 weeks olds and I have had him for just over 2 weeks, did think it was to early to change is cage around but don't know.

I'm constantly moving Daisy's cage around, I've had her for 3weeks now..she quite enjoys figuring out where everything is Sent from my carrier pigeon

I would leave his cage alone for another week or two but after that then I am sure he would love his cage moving around My budgies get really excited when I move their perches and toys around, its like they have a whole new home ;D

Thanks for your advice Rob and Rachael :-) I think I will leave Charlie's cage as it is for a couple of weeks, then have a change around when he's had more time to settle in.

I change the set up for my birds every week when I clean it out. Different perches, different toys. Stops them getting bored with it all and it also stops them fixating on a particualr toy. I say if Charlie is settled and happy, change the cage around when you like; if he is still not really sure of his enviroment, new home, leave it as is for now. Now while he is young and everything is new to him could be a good time to get yourself another array of toys and introduce them to him one at a time - give him at least a week to get used to a new one, if not two. Then he has gotten familiar with them all, that's when you can swap and change them around every week, so it is all a bit new again.
