Hi, we found a blue budgie in our garden (London NW9) a couple of days ago, we managed to get him/her to into the greenhouse where he/she is safe and seems quite content.
We have put a bowl of water in there and bought some food but we don't really know how to take proper care of this lovely little chirper. We have put notices up locally but haven't heard anything yet.
If anyone can offer any assistance, preferably in reuniting our lost little wanderer and original keeper, please do! Thanks...

Hi Catherine If you register your bird with www.parrotalert.com then they may be able to trace the owner. In the mean time he needs a cage with some perches, seed and water. Perhaps some toys if you can get hold of some.

Well done you for keeping one of our feathered friends safe. A greenhouse will be like a beautiful big aviary for your budgie visitor (he may not want to leave) , I just hope there is nothing there that he will demolish or that will make him sick. I hope too you have success finding his rightful owners asap.

Ive gone onto red alert with this, my greenhouse can reach up to 80 degrees with the door shut, even in this weather if the sun is on it, hope you can find a cage to pop him in for a while and bring him in somewhere cooler.
