We have now had Gilbert for 5 days and I would bet the house that he was a pet that someone could not care for and was returned to the pet store.....
If I leave the room for more then 5 minutes.....he calls for me....he also "talks" to his mirror.....not chirping but he is trying to form words.....and he is well aware of how to play with all toys that are in his cage.....so I can not see that he was ever a "breeder budgie".....but my question is this:
Since Gilbert is an adult.....how should we introduce him to Bede, Ollie, and Baby Aidan.....Bede was a year old when Ollie came....and he was 6-8 weeks when came along.....so Bede showed him the ropes....and Baby Aidan was a young one when he came to our home and Ollie would feed him.....and Bede showed him how to "rearrange" the cage.....but since Gilbert is older is there anything special we should do or look for when he meets the "herd" tomorrow.....he will not go in the same cage with them for a few days.....and we were thinking the "side by side" method with the cages.....and when the "herd" have fly time we would take Gilbert out of the room for now.....
Also should we let him make contact with them all at once or should we start with Baby Aidan.....who is our happy go lucky budgie first and then add Ollie and Bede to the mix....

Under supervision of course. Sounds like Gilbert is a fun little bird.
