I was just pottering about in the budgies cage as you do and Smudge zipped out without me even noticing!! It was only when my partner said 'There's a budgie in here' I thought 'Oh?'. He was zipping round the kitchen and then I had to play the game - lets move the steps from one place to another and back again trying to get Smudge off the top of the kitchen units ;D When I got him on my finger I brought him close to my face to talk to him gently and he snuggeld into my nose - aw my heart melted!! So cute - he doesn't like my finger that much and only sits on it if he must but he seems to like my nose! I guess it's my beak ;D

It must have been terrifying for a minute or so. Glad that everything ended in beak kissing ;D

Reminds me of saturday. when Skye and Daisy were flying around the living room and hallway, when they both entered the kitchen, after saying to Sarah make sure kitchen door is shut, i had forgotten to shut it....Skye knows the lay of the land, but Daisy didnt, took forever to capture her.....and one point she got her head stuck in the dish rack....dont ask......so i had to tea towel the poor mite.. but not before she thought jumping onto my finger and back would be fun then flying on top of the cupboards...1st and last time i'll be making that mistake

My bird is obsessed with my nose. It is very sweet having them commune with your nose, or beak bop. Until they bite it!

Glad all ended well for both of you, Ginger and Rob! I am sure they do see it as a fun exercise to watch us scrabbling around behind them like a clumsy dolt! My guys have the run of the kitchen and dining/lounge area - it is one big open area although the kitchen is a separate room. It has a very large opening to the other area over the stairwell, so they can zip around to their hearts content. But my son has a bad habit of leaving the pantry doors wide open, and I have found a curious budgie, Smudge, checking things out on the cereal shelf - she is very lucky no-one shut the doors on her! Must be all in the name I think, Ginger!!

Skye seems to like my nose... But only because I have it pierced and she likes nibbling at the stud! Luckily there's no way she could pull it out.

Rob, I think young budgies are very curious and often get themselves in funny situations - as they get bigger it will wear off a bit Aw, Stace and Sarah - I've never had a budgie love my beak so much. Smudge it quite shy so I was surprised. Sooooo cute!!!!!!! ;D Hezz - Deffo must be in the name. I actually thought Smudge was a girl and he has such a sweet face I still call him a she sometimes. He is very curious and doesn't seem bothered about where he is (it's only me that is bothered!).

He is very curious and doesn't seem bothered about where he is (it's only me that is bothered!). That is quite weird, because I thought for ages that Smudge was a boy!!!! I knew Bluey was a cock, but he had hormonal probs and his cere turned brown, and in my then-ignorance I assumed Smudge was too - male I mean. It was only after I learnt about Bluey's problems, and how it affected his cere, I realised Smudge was a right little madam, not a drag queen at all! ;D ;D
