He looks younger than 8 months! (even though you said it was slightly old) One of my male budgies had his cere turn blue by the time he was 11 weeks! I think he is an opaline dominant pied grey as well Nicola

Nice Bird. I don't think he is Opaline. I would go for D.Pied Grey. Seems to be around 4-5 months old bird.

It is a dominant pied grey. It is definitely not opaline
