In water for me. Some eat soft food and some don't, some less and some more. So in water I am sure that everyone is getting right amount. Water with any type of supplements should be removed within 24 hours.

I do the same as BB, Allan. In the water and changed every day, with a scrub-out of the containers before being refilled.

I have stopped using vitamins for my birds as i find we do not have a clue as to what dosage to give, the benifits our birds receive if any or the harm we may be doing to our birds.
I do believe we are creating problems in our birds due to the mismanagement of vitamins and supplements

Does that apply to calcivet and similar products, the way im thinking is wont the calcium in it raise the PH and kill bacteria, or do bacteria still build up?. Im sure it's got high levels of zinc aswell which must do something. sorry if that's a silly question I agree with barrie, supplements are too easily overdosed
