Because of the feeder I use for Munchy's seed, I can't put egg food in with it so I've put some in a deep white bowl. I've seen him at it a couple of times already, after the little seeds in it, and was wondering whether to leave it in or only put it in occasionally because of the possibility of protein overdose.
Approximately, because I don't know the protein content, how much eggfood should he be allowed a day? I give hard boiled egg occasionally, about once a month, but remove eggfood when I give him that if it makes any difference.
He's more fond of his veggies, which is good, except I have to freeze them so they're all yucky when they defrost. He likes to chew on fresh grass too. It made his beak green ^^

Non breeding/pet budgies don't need egg food on regular basis. Once a week should be fine

Hi and welcome to forum It will be nice to see some pictures of your budgies. Breeding birds get eggs food daily. It starts one month before pairing up/breeding and ends when the chicks are fledged/weaned. Non breeding/resting budgies get once or twice a week only.
