Nice to know the wild birds think you are worth entertaining, Brian. And how about Peko? Is he still around?

A Hedge Accentor sounds like some sort of electric garden tool. Those little English birds are really lovely.

Don't go there! Wow, 30 C is fairly warm for you, I imagine. We are having a rainy and cool spell, at 22 C at 10am, but I just saw the most ridiculous thing on my way home just now - a smallish dog, maybe pug-sized, with a coat on! Poor Peko. I thought he has his girl stashed in the woods behind you. Maybe she had a better offer if he wasn't going to share your garden with her.

I think it was the heat Hezz, after our wet April and awful May it was extremely hot, as for peko's mate in the woods, our local game keeper say's he found it dead, could be fox? So poor peko will have to keep calling for another...........

Oh dear, that's not good, but then the poor hen shouldn't have been out there either. Hope the warm weather sticks around for you, then.
