Hi,first timer here Does anyone have any ideas on why my babies are losing their flight feathers in the nest ? Could it be a virus of some kind or could it possibly be the cock or hen plucking them ? Be grateful for you're help

I would say not to breed with the offending pair, some believe it is a disease and can spread to others but I would question that, depends on the damage done as to whether the feathers will grow back, sorry to sound negative............

Hi Naldy providing there was no blood when the feathers were lost, the chances of them growing back are good, not so if they bled,as for using them for breeding as Brian said i would'nt

They could, but you wouldn't know until you tried breeding with them.
