Noticed this rather large and very strange coloured poo from Daisy earlier.....also noticed she's missing feathers from the right side of the beak......tried my best to take some good photos of her......need some advice please....i was hoping i wouldnt need to take her to the vets again this month....so i need to wait till payday again before i can take her....which is upsetting me alot at the moment.... Hmmm it is a larger than usual poop for budgies but not neccesarily anything to panic over. Have you changed her food recently? Given her any fruit or veg? Have you noticed if she has been drinking more water than usual? All of these can affect their poop. As for the missing feathers its most likely nothing, Is she moulting at the moment? Any pinnies?

Nope not changed her seed or anything and no veg/fruit yea she's drinking tons...when she poops sometimes it's just pure water and just sprays out....that poop is one of the only decently shaped one's as of lately.......I keep my flat ultra cool so I know she's not too warm.....and no she still has to break her bars as of yet so no moult from her...only trix is moulting at mo

Not sure if this will help but this is a closer picture of the area around Daisy's beak. It's not great quality because she kept wriggling. Attachments:

How is she within herself, Rob? Is she chirpy, full of energy, eating heaps, giving toys a hard time? Or is she quiet and moody, uninterested? For one poop, I would just keep an eye on her and them; if there are other factors worrying you as well, she may need to be seen again. I can't really make out the feather thing on the side of her beak, but she may just have rubbed/pulled them out somehow - may have nothing to do with the poops.
Smudge does the occasional large poop, but mostly hers are just ordinary.
The large amount of water Daisy drinks - did the vet have anything to say about that last time?

yea she's the usual shouting, playing, clumsy, self....yea she might have rubbed them out when she rubs her beak on the branch in the cage....yea i'll keep an eye on them for now.....like i said they're v.v.v.watery usually. The vet was a joke......yea he said "she shouldnt be drinking alot of water" and prescribed baytrill....silly little Daisy has managed to get her claws bent...great lol....just want this ikky tummy thing of her's to just go now.....her vent looks so so so sore

You must use the macro button to acheive a good clear image Rob, with those images its guess work............The bird appears to have been sick and the droppings indicate the bird is not eating , offer millet sprays and cold black weak tea for one week , remove the water

How does the skin look where the feathers are missing? Is it smooth or rough- if its rough it could be scaly mites, she may be a bit run down from being poorly before and the meds. I believe mites can be dormant and show up at times when a bird is low, if I'm wrong someone will correct me I'm sure! Good she is eating, I hope she is ok

Sounds like scaly face but a picture will confirm it.
