My young Son has been making the most of the lovely weather and he keeps going out, but I make him come back in every so often. When he goes out, I always say "where you going?" I say this alot in a day lol, well, the other day, we were about to go out and I am sure Tommy said "Where you going?" I asked if anyone else heard him, but they weren't taking any notice and to be honest, neither was I, but I am so sure he said it? he hasn't said it since, but it was only a day or so ago.

He is just over a year old, about 14 months.......... I knew it, I am cracking up. Mind you, he laughs and it sounds quite similar to mine......yep, I've lost the plot!

He may well have said it. Just keep saying the same thing around him and you'll likely hear him say it again. It he does it's possible he says other things that you haven't picked up on - try listening carefully when he's chattering away.

I am so sure he said it, Lol. I would just be so pleased if he came out of his shell a bit more, I think if Sky has anything to do with it, he may well just do that, she is quite a little character. :-)

I think he probably did talk. I would say that many adults don't learn either because, perhaps, they don't bond as well or they're just not quite as interested. And then if they do want to try, perhaps it takes them a little longer and perhaps because people don't expect them to talk at that age they don't try to teach them, or do try and then give up *shrug*. So, I'd say that a baby budgie learns easier but that it's not impossible for an adult. Only speculation mind.

From my experience they learn the phrase, not the individual words. I am sure you weren't hearing things, Tina.

Thank you Hezz, I am hoping he will come out with this weeks lottery numbers today! now that WOULD be clever LOL. I will keep talking to him, I think he might say "oh, you are a naughty girl" next, not to me of course, but to Sky when i try and get her back in her cage. :-)

he prob did, mine was about 9 months when he started, keep ur eyes out for little growling noises, that means their trying or clearing their throat to say something, it'll only happen when your not watching though lol
