Hi members, welcome to June’s Budgerigar of the Month contest. This month the contest will be run by our very own Barrie Shutt.
If you are not a member then now is the time to pop in and join us in the competition.
The June contest begins today and you can submit your entries to Barrie Shutt by email only at barrieshutt@aol.con
All entries must be submitted no later than midnight on Monday 25th June.
The rules for this month’s contest are;
Unlimited entries will be accepted all of which must be on the chosen subject and feature one budgerigar per entry.
No multiply entries of one bird will be accepted but you are encouraged to post a picture of any other budgerigar you own.
All entries will have a number only; no names will be displayed at this stage and i will number your entries
The contest page will be of open status and you will be encouraged to give your opinion on the entries, we would appreciate that you do not mention the bird or the owners name when commenting.
Any entries not on subject or of poor quality will be posted and used as an example of what it not acceptable , you will then be welcomed to post a repacement image.
I will give my honest opinion of each entry and reserve the right to move any entry into the grand month end final.
On deadline day all entries will be transferred into a new thread and will be judged 1st, 2nd and 3rd.
The first three placed entries will receive a budgerigar forum rosette with a centre to be chosen. Also first place winner will also recieve these great toys from Millcroftsvet and pet shop, feel free to visit their website at www.millcroftvets.co.uk
Photographs entered must be of budgerigars and be of good quality, which means no unfocused, blurry, or grainy shots
Your entry must not have any enhancements such as sparkly emoticons, exposure correcting, or text, although cropping within reason will be allowed.
The entries will be judged at the month end by a guest judge
The winner of this month’s contest will get to choose the theme for the July.
We look forward to seeing your entries and do remember only one bird can win regardless of how may you keep.
Aprils' contest winner was Lorena and the gorgeous Basha.
This months theme is:
"Happy, healthy budgies!"
We want to see all your happy, healthy and bright eyed budgies so get those entries coming in!
