Right looks like Daisy is starting to go through her 1st molt, so im wondering whats the best diet to give her and any potions that i should use?? i had a look around on the internet, but it was all conflicting so i've decided to use the infinite wisdom here i already give both Budgies a mist shower daily, so i know that will help Daisy. thanks guys -Rob

Hard boiled egg if she likes it. Marianne has a recipe that includes both broccoli and carrot. Basically more protein than usual, but not too much because you have to be careful of protein overdose. You can also get dry egg food which can be given in a bowl dry or moist, or sprinkled dry onto the normal seed. You can also get something called moultone according to the guy who runs one of the pet shops (the nicer of the two) in Cardiff market. He seems to know what he's talking about. It's a liquid version of egg food, but I've never tried it. You can get finger feeders that breeders use to supply egg food to breeding birds. It fits through the bars and only gives small amounts, so no risk of them having too much by accident, especially if Trixie has access to it as well when she doesn't need very much of it And that's the result of my limited experience. XD

Hmm, well, he's in Cardiff Market which has an entrance on St Mary's Street which is near the bus station and Cardiff Central. There are plenty of places to ask directions there if you need to Don't go to the shop above the fishmongers because they had some budgies, five, in really cramped, dirty cages and I felt so sorry for them, they weren't playing at all even though two days before they'd been quite active, so I really wouldn't want people funding that place. The guy you want is up the stairs on the left as you walk in from St Mary's Street. He sells budgies and other birds too and his cages are all kept clean and they are really active, some of them are from breeders. My first budgie when I was younger came from there. It only lived two years but it was already an adult and I didn't know how to care for it properly, so it was probably my fault.

I used the moulting tonic when Skye was moulting and it seemed to help her. I still have some so you can swipe some drops!

Plenty of Spinach Plenty of Dandelion Iodine blacks and vitamin powders or sprays for the seed bowl. Keep the temperature consistent and warm, nothing hinders a moult more than fluctuating temperatures and drafts. Offer plenty of bathing opportunity. You can get minerals for in the water but stuff on the seed or in eggfood is better.
