I've been out today at my friend Suzannah's house as we were sorting out our luggage for our bird-ringing trip to Portugal on Tuesday. In the meantime, Munchy has been in the living room with my grandparents. They shut the door as the heater was on, but I didn't know they were going to or I'd have put some seed in the living room. Anyway, my grandparents fell asleep, which usually cues Munchy to fly around like a mad thing and squawk and generally make as much noise as possible to keep them awake. Today, he landed on my granddad's head and started nibbling at his eyelids and mouth. Later he landed on my nan's head, which was where I normally sit, I mention that because he usually flies to me when he's hungry and wants to go to his cage to eat. Later, when my nan woke up and looked around, she couldn't see him anywhere on the windowsill or his gym. Turning around, she saw him standing on the floor near the door. When my granddad opened it and slowly walked towards Munchy, Munchy walked out of the door, took off, and went back to his cage to eat. Looks like he's really starting to know his way around if he knows where the entrance to the room is even with the door shut

He's fine, Sam He just shoos Munchy away if he gets too annoying. His nibbles don't hurt because he's usually trying to preen us, I just have a thing about things being close to my eyes so I never let him preen my eyelashes. I might if my eyes were already closed. Thanks everyone Munchy agrees that he is smart too, but he is a very vain bird Although he doesn't understand that when I show him millet and then cover it that it is still there, no matter how many times I show it to him.
