Hi
As the title says, I've got two females who keep doing the mating act and the whole "I'm trying to impress you" thing and feeding each other and preening each other. Well feeding and preening-fine..but mating? I've never heard or read anything like that.
BTW I know they are females. Brown cere..laid eggs just a few months ago.
Thoughts? Is it just weird or something worrisome?

Pretty sure it's nothing to worry about. Just budgies, being budgies..

I have two males in the house, Alfie and JayJay that are all lovey dovey with each other, they feed each other, preen each other, and snuggle up together at night. Haven't seen them try to mate with each other yet lol but I'm not worried. Basically I think its just one of those things, nothing to worry about

Hi Nani. The sexual orientation of birds & animals is just
as complicated as it is with humans. More so in the unnatural
confines of captivity. Yours B.J.
