I have measured the cage it's 50cm high 50cm length and 30 cm wide is this any good ? It's has gold ish bars not sure what metal that is and a plastic bottom with pull out tray The ideal minimum width for a budgie is 60cm wide (24 inches). The width is more important than height, so they can flutter across the cage. If the width of your cage is 50cm, that seems okay, as long as your bird gets plenty of time outside the cage to fly about. Remember that minimum widths are just that - minimums. The bigger the cage you can find or afford the better. Try not to clutter the cage up with too much stuff. Have a look through this thread. We've posted our cage set ups. It will give you a few ideas. Some of the cages on here are over cluttered, but these are from members whose birds spend all their time out of their cages and only roosting in there at night. budgerigarsforum.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=cagesaviaries&action=display&thread=12&page=1
