Hello.
I am new to this forum and I apologies if I make any mistakes in where/what I am posting.
About 4 or 5 years ago, I was driving in a friends car down the street when I saw a budgie. Worried that it would die in the soon to be Canadian winter (it was October) I caught the bird in a towel and brought it home.
Since having the bird, it has been staying at my mothers home where I sometimes visit. I decided to keep her when no one seemed to want a bird. The birds wings were already clipped and according to one of my friends its female. I was told by the same friend that she was in adult hood
Tinkerbell, Tink for short, is the name I gave my blue budgie. Recently I visited my mothers house and noticed a lot of changes with Tink. Her droppings seem to have taken on a greenish colour and more liquid like. Upon further checking I noticed that she had almost a scabby bottom, red and looked very very uncomfortable.
I feel like Tink has noticeably become unhealthy. I want to to her to the vet, but at the moment I cannot because I do not own a car, and the nearest vet is very far from me. My mother isn't home from vacation for another week or so and she has taken the car.
Do you have any idea what this could be? I don't want her to suffer and I feel terrible about it. Is there anyway I could soothe her?
Could she be egg bound? If so what should I do? I really wish I could take her to a vet right now. A tumor maybe?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
This link has pictures of Tinks bottom. It is actually worse than that, higher up on both sides but I didn't want to distress her.
