hey all, noticed last night one of my eggs that is due to hatch started pippin. i checked this morning and its still the same, checked again a few minutes ago and i can hear the chick chirping inside the egg. i'm a little worried because the last chick hatched but died of exhuastion i don't wont the same to happen to this chick. here's a picture, you can just see it at the top of the egg, what do you think.? i'm probably worring about nothing but its my first time breeding so a bit on edge at the mo kyle

personally i wouldn't handle the eggs unless it's 120% necessary . Just leave nature to do it's work, if it hatches great, if it doesn't ,that's still a good thing, nature weeds out the week for a reason. Humans have to much involvement, just let the hen get on with things, .

I agree too. Let mum keep the eggs warm and stable while the chicks are trying to hatch
