hello dear Forum, it's been a while i've written - all's been well with my two boy budgies now both around 3 years old, one week apart - both found american budgies. one of them whose pic i've attached keeps having a hair grow over his right eye - this happens every 8 months or so; first time it happened i took him to the vet who simply peeled off with her long finger nails all his line of hair over that eye! it was an ouch but she then said that it most likely will grow back similar! now it's back third round (third year of life) - he has this time been rubbing so hard on his perches he's irritated all around it too... i did do some of what Barrie suggests on his site with black tea cotton and he was relieved for two days and it didn't sweep it off his eye ball - others have suggested trimming it - i won't be doing that! but i did hold him the other day and "preen" him with my small finger nails and - today I blew air over his face and eyes trying to move that hair (he liked that!) - his buddy doesn't preen him because they've grown up with a divider and that's how it's been - even when they hang outside together, they don't preen each other... any ideas ... thanks a lot and grateful for this forum! ellah

It is a nuisance and can only be controlled with trimming and eye drops
