Just had to tell everyone in so pleased, got sweetie out of the cage for the first time today, she was out for about 15 mins but wouldn't get off my hand until I put her back in cage lol. I am going to make her a perch to sit on out of the cage so I can hopefully get her to to get down onto that when she's out.

She was out and didn't even want to fly??? You have to fly Sweetie - don't want to end up a pudgey budgie. Hopefully with more out-time she will feel more confident in her surroundings and start to check them out. Make sure your room is budgie-proofed though - curtains pulled over plain glass windows or doors, nothing hot, no fans, somewhere safe to perch (besides you no open doors or windows, even mirrors can be a problem. No gaps between furniture and wall with hard to reach places where a young budgie may fall. All other animals away and children under supervision. What else? A spare perch or dowel to get her down from up high places - that is where she will end up. Good luck with it, and keep up the commentary.
