It will take some time before budgies start eating vegetables who haven't done so before. Buy fresh seeds in little quantity so you can buy more soon. Trill is not good here but some UK members think otherwise about their version of Trill. Light mist with water bottle is will do, but not all budgies like it. Some of mine love it while other simply hate it.

UK Trill is a good seed mix. As BB says, just buy small amounts regularly. With just one bird, a small pack lasts for ages. When I open mine, I put it into a plastic container to keep it fresher and keep the moths/weavils out.
A light spray is good to help them preen and clean themselves. Do it early in the day, so they have plenty of time to dry off before going to bed. Some birds also like to bathe in a shallow water dish. They seem to like the dish to be made of glass. Put some leafy stuff in it as well - like a bunch of parsley/silver beet, whatever you might have. In the wild they often wash by rubbing up against the wet leaves.
