Got my cage / What you think ?

Got this cage and stand today in The Range I fancied it in the week as its a nice size . I am going to replace both swings with wooden ones as they are plastic , I bought a natural wood perch and two other wooden perches to replace the plastic ones but the pack of two perches I bought dont fit so I will have to get bigger ones , I might get all the natural branch ones as I think they look nicer and more natural so its back over the range tomorrow.
The cage is 58cm wx 56 h x 36 w With it being cream and brown it blends in well with the rest of the room and doesnt look out of place.
I will use newspaper on the floor so what else do I need to get besides food cuttlefish , vitamin and tonic etc plus toys

Oh . just managed to work out how the photo uploading works on this forum for them to come out bigger

The best thing you can do for your budgie is get it some natural branch perches. Throw out the plastic ones and replace with natural. And try for different diameter branches too so budgie's feet get some exercise.

Very nice cage, Moonkira! Agree with Hezz about the perches, you might want to get an iodine block and some grit for your birdie/s too

Yes, I did say that in my post that I was going to replace all the plastic ones and the plastic swings. I bought a natural one and put it in the cage going to get some more today I like them .
I managed to cut a bit off the other wooden perches I bought that didnt fit and now they are fitting corner to corner. Al the plastic ones have been taken out.. horrible things

Sorry, yes, I now read properly ( : your post regarding your perches. If you have access to willow or an apple tree, these are great for budgie perches and safe for them as well. If you can find plenty of bark for your budgie to chew on. This really can help keep them out of mischief.

do you use the radiator as the heat will not be good for the budgies!!!

We do use it in the winter but we have thought of turning it down or moving the cage ontop of the viv while radiator is on

Waiting for a call back from a breeder he was out and his wife answered he has babies 7weeks old and the colours I am looking for so exited , I must go and get the rest of the stuff I need for the cage .. but have to wait for him to ring me back then its out budgie shopping lol

Touchwood parrot toys is a good place to get natural wood perches and play stands etc if you can't easily get them yourself.
