Brand New Budgie

Hi there everyone.
I recently purchased two baby budgies, around 4 months old each. Both are males (I hope). One has his blue cere coming into effect and the other has a more darkish pink. They both still have the black spots on their beaks.
They were already suprisingly tame when I bought them even though they lived in a cage full of other budgies. I can put my finger around them and they will hardly panic, but I can tell they prefer being on the highest perch in their cage.
My main concern is how difficult it will be for me to tame each of them up even more. They seem really attached to each other after 3 days of having them. They will eat and preen themselves always at the same time. When I take them out of the cage they follow each other around or when they're in the cage they'll just sit on the highest perch all day together.
Are there any special tips on how I can be seen to them as the head flock member? I'd really love if they could just climb onto my finger and shoulder and play with me when they WANT to. Any suggestions?

Hi there and welcome to the forum! You might want to try bribery (with some millet ) as this can be a good training tip - once one sees the reward the other should follow. Just start by holding a millet ball in through the cage and keep repeating the process until your hands are not that scary anymore. You may also wish to look under our Budgie taming section here: budgerigarsforum.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=budgietamingfor more advice and tips. What are their names? Would love to see pictures when you can

Hi!! Have just started really getting somewhere with taming my girl, and she was wild and scared when I got her. Millet is definitely your best tool for training, I hear you use the same principal training two as you do one on its own though it's slightly more challenging I think. There is loads of brilliant info on here about taming good luck and yes, piccies pleaaaaase
