Was thinking how much a Budgie cost in different parts of the world. For Pakistan a normal pair will cost around 800 Pak Rs or say about 8 US $ and Exhibitioner Budgie will be from 5000 to 1000 Pak Rs that is 50 to 100 US $.
The most offered feed is millet and that is about 3 $ per Kg.
How much is the cost there?

A pet type bird varies in price depending on the breeder. I have seen them advertised from £10 to £25 for a budgie. I would pay whatever was being asked for a bird which has been well cared for and started off in life. It's not about the price for me it's about getting a lovely budgie and promoting the welfare of caring bird breeders by giving them my business. (Not that I can have any more now unless I build my own aviary to keep them in!)

Looses Chinese millet is around 0.87 GBP per KG. (Sometimes with mice droppings in it).
Versele-Laga loose seed mix is around 1.73 GBP per KG.
Trill and other similar brand packs are around 2.60 GBP per KG.
Budgie pricess range from 15.00 to 25.00 GBP per budgie. All are breeders crap from around the world and imported at very low prices. They always have health and breeding issues.

barrie was that between 320 and 100 pounds for a baby?? I am sure that 100 to 320 pounds price would be for budgies with show competition quality and not pet budgies. Barrie's budgies are among the best. He is a champion breeder

Just to add that Barrie's prices are still on the lower side, people in UK ask way too much than this.

I checked once, and the budgie from renowned breeders in UK was priced at 500 GBP but similar budgie from a similar standard breeder was priced around 100 Euro in European countries. I am referring to budgies for show bench.
