Hi guys over the last few days i have noticed that amongst his normal poops he been doing poops that are normal in consistency but have a light tan colour instead of the normal black...Well today when he was out as i went to put him back in i noticed in the tray that sits under to wear he sits these poops and I'm a bit worried now He seems to be going through another moult (thought because the weather is one min normal then next boiling) i have put dry egg food on his trill today,he is acting himself although a little quieter but i put that down to the moult?? i have put some white paper in his cage so i can monitor the poops but what do you think to these-

Not sure I can be of any help, Moogie. Mine have these sorts of poo when they have been into the greens. Has Elfie turned over a green leaf and started eating his veggies? Any diet change can affect their poos as you know, but I wouldn't have thought eggfood would do it. What are they like now with the white paper down?

It's really hard to tell, Moogie. It could just be diet related, if Elf's been eating veges for instance. Weird vege-related poop will only last for hours or maybe a day.
In the meantime, feed only seed and water to monitor whether something else is up.

That looks better, but still a bit watery. Is he noticeably drinking more? Has it been really hot the last few days? You could always try him with some cold weak black tea instead of water, or chamomile tea is also supposed to sooth the gut. Otherwise keep that eagle-eye on him and see if it improves. If not, you know what to do.

How is the poop today, Moogie? While not all budgies will willingly take a bath, it doesn't hurt to give them (however unwilling they may be ) a spraying now and then - especially if it is hotter than they are used to. Hopefully it will be just the heat affecting him and a cooling spray will do him good. It wouldn't hurt to put him on the tea for a day or two, either. PS Does he get grumpy with the heat??? Because I sure do! ;D

Trust your gut, Moogie. If you feel there is something wrong, you might be picking up on other signals which you haven't put into words here.
