I've just looked back at my pictures and it's occurred to me that most of my entries had a bird theme, lol! Chicken soft toy (1st prize), Owl bunting (1st prize) and bird patchwork cushion (3rd prize) and of course Snowflake Warhol by Lee! Anyone would think we liked birds- they'd be wrong of course because we are obsessed with them!!!

Sarah, you and the family have done yourselves proud!! I see younger son's finger puppet made the journey too. I love all that sort of thing at the local shows. Of course I am the only one!!! Well done all of you!

Thanks Hezz and Mick. Lee's Snowflake Warhol is my favourite! We will probably end up keeping it in the lounge! Yes the finger puppet made the trip but he's now working on something new so it probably won't get entered into anything else now. He spent his prize money on lego so he was a very happy little boy!

That's brilliant, Sarah. I love those shows. Reminds me of my small home town. Made me happy looking at everything, so you guys must be really chuffed. They are all birdie-related, but of course we love that!

Thanks Stace, I was very shocked. I only entered to see how I measured up and didn't expect to win a thing so we are extremely pleased! I nearly didn't bother hanging up the bunting, so what do I know?!

The "Snowflake Warhol" will look good on the wall, I am sure. And what young lad doesn't spend every spare cent on Lego??? We have plastic roller containers full of it, starting from the maxi stuff with Bob the Builder (Drew used to tell people his name was Bob when he was a little fella), right up to the complicated Star Wars things. Well done everyone!

Yes we have plenty of Star Wars lego, Ninjago, Hero factory etc! The duplo stuff got passed on to my nephew and niece but the stuff we have now will probably stay forever. Some of the complicated models are really good if pricey...

Duplo, that's it! Couldn't think of the name. It used to be so easy buying Xmas and birthday presents when the boys were into Lego, sigh. Now, I haven't a clue. I'm a failure in the present-buying stakes.

I'm a failure in the present-buying stakes. Yeah boys are hard to buy for. I don't understand the difference between one football and the next, or why so and so skates are fine and so and so skates /helmets etc aren't As for PS3 games, well I really just don't get that at all, is it supposed to be fun?

Apparently!!! ;D We were given a PS1 ages ago and of course that started that off. We agreed (with contributions from the boys) to a PS2, so that helped out with the present-buying, but once PS3 came along and PS2 games started to become redundant .......... we were not up-grading! How do they justify the jump in prices from one level to the next? I was horrified.
