Hi there
I am relatively new to this hobby, and need a little advise please.
Can I put finches into my aviary, along with my budgies, or do the budgies attack the finches.
If so what other birds live comfortably with budgies.
Many thanks
Helen

Hi there
Thanks for the advice, I will try the finches this weekend, I was a bit cautious as I had a pair of red rumps with finches originally, and that did not work out - the red rumps had to go.
So at the moment I only have the budgies in the aviary.
Also could I put a single lovebird into the aviary?
Regards
Helen

Regards Helen Lovebirds are more aggressive than most other small birds, and it's best to house them alone,so I would think about it, you may be able to create a seperate section for it and you should get another, they are not good on their own, hope this helps

as others have said yay and nae. Sometimes it works out sometimes it doesn't i think it was barrie who said he never had success with it, where as brian and gerwynmr2 has . Just have to try it and see, although as brian has said, i would make sure there is plenty of perches and plenty of space to get away from each. Nesting pouches for the finches are a good idea, they tend to hide/sleep in them, where as budgie don't. Although with males and females it may encourage them to lay.
