Sweeties longest flight feathers on both wings look scraggy and moth eaten, which they weren't when I got her. Also the feathers around her beak have turned scraggy and Lacey looking. She is also moulting so I guess it could be that. After the research I've done looks like it could potentially be feather mites, though i cant see any. If it is, how would she have got them? She is kept in a clean regularly sanitised cage. I have imvermectin 0.1 and some f10sc on order incase that is what it is, any comments or ideas appriciated. X

I haven't had the dubious pleasure of mites of any sort but to me she just looks like a typical young bird, slightly clumsy, getting feathers where they shouldn't be and they end up rather scruffy. Smudge is basically white and her tail is always filthy. She uses it as a feather duster on my windows and sills. Says a lot for my house-keeping! Not!

That's a relief thanks Hezz, think I will treat her anyways as a preventative if nothing else. Decided to start getting some essential products together so I'm prepared for everything lol x

She looks okay to me, just looks like she's either preened her wing feathers too vigorously or she's been clumsy and caught them on things like a typical young budgie ;D I would say treat her with the Ivermectin 0.1% anyway as you planned to, I treat my budgies once every six months to prevent mites anyway, its a good thing to do
