thanks Mick, i'm still new to all of this and it's good to know everything (good and bad). News is she's eaten much more yesterday and today and i had her in my hands today and she felt a little heavier ( just a little mind). I am preparing myself mentally for the worst. I also spoke to the vet again today who said she could presscribe more meds if required when first lot finished. She said i was doing everything else ok, and that i could take her in to hospital for a few nights, but i can't afford that , so i'll just have to keep doing my best. We let them out to fly tonight for a bit after her meds (to cheer her up) and she had a great time for a about 15 mins, not all in flight. Back in the cage, sleeping with nice heat coming in from radiator. my fingers, toes, everythign are all crossed. Thank you all for help and advice.

Hey annie. Just to recommend with the heat, I believe it was Hezz who said to me to use a reading lamp, and it genuinely works. If you drape the cage in towels or blankets to stop the heat escaping too quickly, point the head of the lamp into the cage, and maybe throw a sheet over both the cage and lamp (that's what I do, the sheet's the cover I use on their big cage at night) you'll drastically reduce heat loss, and it gets quite toasty in there after a while. Good luck little Thala! Sounds like you're going to make it

thanks guys, she has been eating loads today i'm pleased to report. Cage is drapped in big thick blanket and hot water bottle inside. By day we've been letting them out again and just keeping the conservatory lovley and warm. Was about 28oC in there all day. How is Splash Zo?

Leave the GA until you have finished the antibiotics. Otherwise they will just be fighting each other, not the cause of Thala's illness.

Good news about Thala. She's a real trooper. Well done, Annie.

It looks as if Thala is well on the road to recovery now I am so happy for you both ;D It's the most terrible feeling when a pet is ill, you'd climb mountains to save them
