"safe in the EU" didn't inspire my confidence either, Sarah. Safe for what? ? Shirl, I am very happy to hear you have given the gym the once over. I would be confident you will be fine with what you have done. Remember the S/S screws if it starts to loosen up with multiple washings.

i could be wrong BUT .... i dont think i am ... PVA WOOD GLUE IS SAFE .....AND IT GOES WHITE WHEN YOU GET IT WET WITH HOT WATER ... but i would still re-ask about the glue they use ..insist they tell you which glue it is ..... and tell them if they dont tell you ...... you will sue there asses off if your budgie gets ill...

I'm sorry to say that my gut feeling is that the phrase "safe in the EU" just means that the glue complies with the rules for human safety- you need to know the chemical content of the glue with respect to how safe it is for a budgie. Badger Zooplus a bit more, they are a good company and should know (if they don't already) how dangerous a lot of things are to birds that are considered safe under normal situations. They have a responsibility to you as a consumer and you have a responsibility as a pet owner. Ask again!! Yes, I have done that Sarah, but they said that they can't guarantee a quick reply, but they will let me know in due time!!!
