I haven't been around for a couple of weeks because I was in hospital saying goodbye to my gallbladder. Yeuch.. (Seriously, neither my mum nor me have had any need to be in hospital for over 20 years and suddenly we've both been in the same one in less than a month! ) Anyway, while I've been recovering at home I've had plenty of time to work on Pepito's new skill: whistling simple tunes. He's loving it and now often greets Mum and I with a few notes of the different tunes we whistle to him! So yesterday when my friend came to visit (also a budgie owner and good friend of Pepi) we showed her what he can do. She then started whistling with him. It was so cute, she would whistle three or four notes and he whistled them back to her. Then he whistled something and she whistled back to him. After a while I thought I would join in, so I whistled the little tune we do together. No kidding, he turned to me, said "shhh!" (he does that now too... ), screeched at me, then turned back to my friend and carried on whistling with her! I got the message - this was a duet, not a trio... Huh! Sometimes I think this boy is just a bit TOO clever!

Oh, bless his little socks!!!! Pepi - you must be nice the the ladies of the house! Sorry about your gall bladder, but hope all your problems are now over. I too have a dodgy one, so I can commiserate with you on what you have had to put up with. *Hugs* hope you and Mum are both on top of the world, very soon.
