When Bruce passed away on Wednesday all seem normal with his behaviour,it was very sudden when passes away, I did notice he had a fish like smell, can anyone explain this.

i may be way off here, but trichomonas (canker in birds) give off a fishy smell. This is coming from my pathology lab days. I imagine the organisms are different genus, but they are the same species, so would have many similar traits.

If canker was suspected,are ther any tell tale signs? apart from the smell.

It was canker and all our birds must be treated twice a year with THRICO PLUS

Would this also explain some water dropping as well? How is canker contracted?
Thanks everyone, sorry for all these questions, it's just when this happens out of the blue it makes me wonder why.

It was canker and all our birds must be treated twice a year with THRICO PLUS I think I'll have to start writing on the calendar when to treat the budgies for everything!!!
