Today I have given my flock some Tricho plus, I gave half the amount to half the water. Is it just given for one day then again in around 6 months time?

Preventive dosage is twice a year. The actual dosage per bird would be mentioned on the package.

Preventive dosage is twice a year. The actual dosage per bird would be mentioned on the package. Preventive of what please BB??? I mean to say that birds medicines are used in two ways. One is treatment when the bird is ill and the other one is preventive to stop the bird from getting sick. Tricho Plus is used for Trichomoniasis/Canker and Hexamitiasis in birds.

On the package it says 1 sachet per 4 litre of water, says nothing about per bird. As I've given my birds there doseage today, then I give again in around 6 months?

It doesn't sound very comprehensive; the instructions I mean. Is it supposed to be one dosage in water, left for 24hrs, with the birds restricted to this water only? This is what I would assume it all to mean, but with any sort of treatment you shouldn't have to assume. The directions, including dosage, should be clear and concise. Not left up to someone's interpretation.

I dilute it at the rate suggested for pigeons as budgerigars do not drink as much water it is safe at this dilution, i keep the mix in the fridge and it is changed daily and treated for 7 days to the whole flock
