Just got some cool new perches. Can't wait to start cage rearranging. I wanted some really short ones to set up as 'stations' around the cage, but leaving heaps of space still in there. The really chunky ones are super soft and knobbly. Boo will probably rip them up in no time. Oh well. The one at the far end is grapevine. I've drilled a few holes in it so I can stuff eucalyptus leaves, grass or herbs in there.

Great perches Stace. I like the size and shapes and great improvisation for the leaves

Oh wow they look FAB! Very smart perches Stace, can we see them when they are in situ too? And love the idea about the eucy leaves too- makes me think that I may have to get a piece of wood to drill holes and stick some willow branches in there....

They are lovely, the second one makes me think of the pastry on top of an apple pie, (maybe it's just me, maybe it's just me because I'm hungry lol!) I bet Boo will love them, please show us a picture when you get them in his cage.

I'm thinking it means I won't always have to hang them somewhere, and can just stuff them in the hole instead.

Where did you get those fab perches from, Stace? Undoubtedly some ace Aussie place that charges an arm and a leg to ship to the UK ... I still miss that Aussie site that used to do Budgie Butter, etc, even though the boyz turned up their beaks at the Budgie Butter itself!

On my mobile and for some reason can't see photo but they sound great. Love the idea of stuffing them with herbs and things.

The UK site that Moogie put up has some great perches with different shapes and types. My cage wire doesn't let me just stuff branches in so I need the attachments on there. I've made a couple with the only wood I can source, which is eucalyptus, but I find it hard to make them without splitting them. I like to give some variety in type and bark thickness if I can.

I must check out that site again when I'm feeling rich! Ian & Marshall love chewing eucalyptus things ... I just wish there were more things available with the nuts or seeds or whatever they're called - those are their favourites for chewing.

With eucy leaves stuffed in the grapevine perch. With eucy nuts and flowers stuffed in the cholla perches holes. And the fat chunky perch, just with his usual bolt-on toys to play with.
