Is he moulting at the moment? I have an exhibition type male who, when he is moulting, has a bad habit of his blood feathers bursting on his head and then blood goes everywhere. Its pretty scary at the time but I'm starting to get used to it. Always have cornflour on hand then use a small cloth to pick him up and dab the cornflour on where it is bleeding.
You said he keeps knocking it? Is there something he could be catching his wing on? x

That is a little odd but all you can really do is try re-arranging the cage perches a bit and keep the cornflour nearby. With you saying there are lots of little feathers all over the floor I think he is moulting but not showing any pinnie feathers yet. Mine all seem to be moulting right now, it looks like a feather massacre on my floor sometimes haha! Have you tried misting him with tepic water from a spray bottle? Or getting a shallow dish and filling it with water and seeing if he will bathe in it? It might help him

When we first had him he had a massive moult for a week so that was like 4 weeks ago. We brought that big cage because he is a bit of a clumsy thing I have cleared the flight paths per say ! Heust have fallen to the bottom as it was all on the bottom half. I mist them most mornings as a rule

Ok well not sure what that is he is a big boy and most prob would have done better in a bird too And aviary set up due to him needing loads of space we live and learn hey ! I may take out a lot of stuff out the cage see how he gets on and maybe have side of cage toys rather then dangly ones

I've found that some of my exhibition budgies can be quite lazy so don't fret about him not having enough space As long as he has lots of out time he will be very happy ;D

Well that's he other problem time out he bashes into everthing start to panic we have a playground and have tried perches and landing spaces but he needs up on the floor and hot and breathing so heavy. We don't force him out leave the door open so he comes out by himself the way he is goin he will get hurt.
