Everything Marianne said, and more!! Such a sweetie, so cute. Have you tried giving her egg, Skysmum? To help her through the moult. As you will be aware some moults seem to be worse than others and some birds seems to be affected more. Maybe a dose of GA wouldn't hurt either.
I do hope Fern is back to her normal self very quickly. Smooch.

Thankyou all, she seems much brighter today, started her on GA yesterday when i brought her in and the others are getting a little dose just to be sure. i offered her some egg yesterday but she didn't seem interested although she has been nibbling at the egg biscuit which mine LOVE so that's a bonus. Her poo seems more normal today, not as watery. She is calling to the others at the moment and they are answering her but i want to give her another 24hrs just to be sure. She is so sweet, when she calls when i leave the room it reminds me of when my girls were at home and poorly in bed, every time i went downstairs it was MUUUUM ;D.

Well her poo's are normal this afternoon AND she has had a little fly round. Im pretty sure she's got low with this moult, she is the smallest one ive got and its taken its toll. Im probably over reacting but i know how quick they can go down hill so i think ive done the right thing. She is desperatly calling to the others as if to say IM IN HERE IVE BEEN KIDNAPPED . If she is still ok tom i will put her back and keep a close eye.

Isolating them and keeping them warm by providing external heat is a priority as soon as you see them fluffed up. They need to direct their energy to getting better and fighting off the illness, not losing precious internal resources in keeping warm by themselves. This energy loss can kill them before their illness does. You should always make sure they are really warmed up BEFORE giving them any meds or fluid by mouth as weak birds can sometimes choke.

Great news, Skysmum. Has she continued to improve? Hope so and that she is well enough to go back in with the others.

Well its been quite a week at Budville, im confident enough to have put her back in the arms of the other's this morning as she is very perky and has been calling to them BIG TIME, i don't want to start stressing her out when she can hear them. At the start of the week she wasn't bothered either way and just seemed to want to be quite. The outward signs are all good now. Ive put the heating on low in the aviary and will keep a very close eye. fingers crossed . Jo Jo is chuffed to bits. He LOVES her so much.

That's brilliant. Back with her buddies. Let's hope she's shaken off whatever it was.
