I read in a budgie book that they advised to put a blue bulb in shed for nightime for the birds because if they got spooked by something through the night and flew in fright they could fly into a wall and break thier necks so I have been using a tiny blue pygmy bulb in the night for them , it gives out just about same amount of light as you would get from a moonlit night . Does anyone else use a dim blue light at night

i never used a blue light ... but when i had chicks .... out of the nest box... i did use a night light in a socket ... it was very dim ....but stopped night terrors ... chicks are prone to them the slightest noise at night can set them off... .. so your blue light is a great idea... ..
