I have noticed while clean out the budgie rust patches comin threw seem like it was paint over web brought second hand I am slightly worried about this it's mostly on the bottom and corner shall I put them in the vision cage ?

Any rust, Liz, move the birds - pronto. How you deal with it depends on you and your handyman skills ......... and maybe your budget. For myself, I would ditch it, unless you are prepared to sand down, clean up and re-coat/respray. Someone on here very recently mentioning a bird chewing through the paint on one corner of a cage, which is what they think caused it's death. Don't take the risk.

We have move them now we r by risking it we have looked around the cage and there is signs of other rust orange water so I am taking it apart and it's going to the tip try r in the cage Winnie had before the large vison cage it's smaller but it will have to do for a bit

A small cage for a short time will not kill. The rust will. Good call to get rid of it. We have recently done the same to an old cage I was hanging on to ......... but never got to doing anything about.

The cage I have is big enough for two but Ernest is big lol It's gone to the tip now :-( serve me right for buying second hand he must have painted it and it just all come threw :-( 50 quid down the drain you could have rubbed it down ans re spayed it with Plastikote Aerosol Fast Dry Enamel .... and it would have been ok .... but its to late as its gone to the tip... but better safe than sorry ... ..

That's y I got rid the cage they have now is ok Ernest has not eatten as the feeding bowl was to big so had to get a smaller one plus if it's not were he just step on and eat he is not interested lazy boy. Winnie was very quite in the big cage now she is back in her old cage she is so loud and hanging upside down in her fav corner lol

You did the right thing by ditching the cage, don't think about the money, it doesn't matter as you'd have spent it somewhere else by now anyway... Your birds are safe and sound thanks to your quick action, so it's all good!
