after a few weeks of trying, rumple has dared to step foot out of his cage he bumped himself around a bit, landed on the floor in a daze, so i put him onto their playgym and he hopped right back into his cage! haha squeeze is still pretty scared of the outofthecage world , but we are making awesome progress

do you know if there are any perches, that can be made or bought, for tabletops, shelves anywhere budgies might like to sit?

Congrats on your first fly! As for perches, are you from the UK? If so, you can purchase 12mm dowel from B&Q, cut to length and place on a self weighted by a heavy book like I have seen some members do...or for a table top stand you might like to try a java branch/stand or a wine rack? Depends on your budget really. But a lot of our members are very creative so you may wish to get ideas here: budgerigarsforum.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=toysHope that helps!

I have a piece of 12mm dowel weighed down by a big dictionary and my Oscar loves sitting up there (top of my bookshelf) it is, as one of the members said 'his safe place' Doweling is so very cheap (cheep cheep) too from B and Q. 78p here where I am and it's quite long so you can cut it up into two or three pieces to make several perches.
