Heya,
(I know this will only probably apply to 5 max of you, but googling is getting me nowhere)
I used to love going to see the birds in Clissold Park in north London but it's closed for renovation at the moment.
Anyone know of any others in London?
Hopefully it'll be back when the park renovation is over as we loved taking them some millet spray down which they'd all go crazy over ;D
Cheers

I know there is a zoo in London, I think near Regent park or canal, if I am not mistaken. But where is this Clissold Park? It would be lovely to see some birds. Are all budgies?

Your thinking of London Zoo, not sure they'd be down with me taking my own millet and you have to pay to get in. Clissold is a small park that has some animals like Deer, Rabbits, Pigs but also quite a big avairy. The Avairy is divided into 3, with Finchs, Medium Parrots and Budgies Here are someone elses photos I found of the birds

Wow, they have quite a variety of budgies, and a lovely setup too.
Are they opening again?

Well I hopped on my bike and went over to see how progress was going and it would appear that its done ... I'm not really that pleased with the results, I prefered the old one From the front From the back Inside the budgie area, the only two that were in the outside flight. Also they now share it with some love birds Looking from the otherside of the budgie area, is the finches section but only 1 was out and I couldnt get a piccy through the thick wire Inside the main area, lots of teals. The didnt seem to keen having to eat out that bowl as they couldnt see when their head was down. They were however very interested in my bike, but again due to the thick wire couldnt get the right angle to take a picture. The previous avairy was set back from the path and was much quieter. The larger birds section was much bigger before and probably about twice the height, big enough for trees in it. The old budgies area was covered on 2 sides and pretty sheltered, this one seems very exposed They've used some really thick (single) wire on it, not sure why really, its very hard to see through on the tighter spaced finch and budgie sections. Also it appears there is no roof on it, just more wire Disappointed but not suprised

Should say I'm not suprised cause I'd seen no mention of the birds in the councils discusions, but lots about the deer - they've done well out of it
