What do people with Aviary's use to heat the inside. Just having a panic after reading Stace's thread about carpet sanitiser and the different things that can affect our buds, fumes etc and i just had a thought about the little tiny oil filled radiator that i leave on very low. It doesn't smell and isn't new but is this ok for the buds.

the averies at work just has a heat lamp in the inside bit, with a cover and guard on in so no one can burn them selfes. But the budgies dont seem that intrested in sitting in there realy, the all seem to prefur to be in the flight bit in there boxes.

I have recently purchased a couple of tubular heaters in preparation for winter. I will however need to get some regulators for them before I can use them. I wasn't going to put them on until there is a severe frost. Does anyone else use tubular heaters? I havent bought any guards yet either which I will need s they get extreme;y hot, so I wouldn't recommend without a guard. The oil filled heaters on low setting sound like a good option.

I have got a circuit breaker in mine but my son in law said that because we have the new type fuse box in our house if there is the slightest fault it will trip anyway.
