Well ive just been to the Aviary and wondered why one of my little females was right at the top of the outside flight in the corner beavering away at something. On entering i was met by a little face looking back at me . She has been working on a hole and if successful it would lead into the inside bit where i go in. If i hadn't of noticed i could have had an escapee . Think she maybe has the nesting instinct and she's evidently been on the project for a while because she can get her head through. Just about to do a repair job . Tyke.

Little monkey! These pesky hens eh?! Good job you spotted it though Skysmum, how will you fix the hole (if it is not a silly question?)!

Crafty little monkeys aren't they? You have to keep an eye on them all the time!

Not a silly question at all sam, i thought i could fix it but its in such an awkward place. Thing is if i screw a piece of wood over it the screw comes through and i dont want any of them catching themselves so ive done a temp job and covered it with a little piece of ply wood which ive stuck using double sided tape And ive moved the perch in the outside flight so that she cant get there any more BUT this little girl has been known to escape before so who knows. OH will sort it for me im sure but for now all is safe .

;D I should have called her that, she (Freddy) is the quite one of the 4, very (butter wouldn't melt) shall we say, but ALWAYS up to no good and sneaky with it, i wouldn't care but she cant fly (old injury), but she cant half run when she wants to, so she makes up for it in other ways, a real Monkey.
