Hi All As you all know the buds are settling in well, but one thing they are not doing is eating their greens! In particular...carrot. The breeder informed me that he fed it to them but they dont seem to interested at present? As a result, I just noticed recently that Barney has a bit of staining above his cere round his nares so as usual out comes the WMS (worried mum syndrome) Have put some Daily Essentials 1 in their water for the time being. Plan is to keep trying with training and veggies but until that time they need some sort of vits. Suppose my only question is how long do I administer it for? Would it be for a week and then get back to ordinary water? Or just to see how it goes? Thanks in advance!

I don't know this product, so I'm not sure. They'll need a regular source of Vit A, so I'd guess it would be a small amount on a fairly regular basis. Does it not say on the pack?

Unfortunately not Stace, it just says to administer one level teaspoon per 400mls water (teaspoon provided) So I don't know if it would be daily, weekly or what? I thought about giving it to them for the next two or three days and keeping an eye on Barneys nares tho anyway

Hmmmm. Since it's called Daily Essentials, I suppose it might be a daily dose. Or is that just too easy? It depends on the concentration. Someone who's used it might know.
Moogie gave Elfie some Vit A supplements when he had some cere staining. She might know.
Some products you can give to them for a week every month. Others daily. It would also depend on why you are giving them. If they are not eating veggies at all, and are showing signs of deficiency, they'd probably need a regular vitamin top up, until they improve.

Daily Essentials 2 which is 10 times the strength of Daily Essentials 1, is used for 7 days every month.

I would see your vet, Sam. Phone call anyway. I usually give mine vits as BB mentions - one week out of every month. But I don't know the concentrations of the product you have.
