Im in a bit of a quandary since bringing the buds indoors. Ive set up two cages and the first day i put 2 in one and 2 in the other, however since then they have decided that they all want to be in one together . Now they are out pottering around for most of the day but always head back into the white one together at tea time. I remember why the blue one has spent the last 6 years in the loft as it is not practical, i have to put everything on the side bars which makes it cluttered, its gonna have to go. Before i buy another one do you think the white one is big enough for the 4, im not so sure, it measures 28ins high 21ins wide and 14ins deep.

Skysmum in my limited experience I would say the white cage is ok for the four of them, providing they have out of cage time most of the day, every day. If they use the white cage just for night time I can't see a problem with it. Lets see what the other members think.

Mmmm this is what im thinking, and ive got two non flyers so they just totter about anyway, had to put the clothes horse up today so that they could find their way back up to the cage after a couple of crash landings . its a good job ive got a nice deep fluffy rug for them to land on.

I've seen four budgies in the pet shop in the market in a cage of around that size and they've all been really active and had room to move around. If they're only sleeping in there then there doesn't seem to be a problem with it. Munchy is by himself in his cage and he just climbs the bars everywhere anyway, so all his exercise comes from being outside, despite having room to fly back and forth in there ^^ They should be fine all snuggled up in the one and then playing outside during the day Good luck with them all indoors! They're gorgeous

Thankyou Ira, all home grown . That's settled then, it is just a bunk house anyway ;D. i may leave the other one in situ with the doors open and put a few more toys in for them to pop in and out and use as a playground .

That's what I would do. One to bunk in, other as a playhouse that they could bunk in if they choose.

If it is only for sleeping I cannot see a problem. Does the blue one have a door you could use like a walk through from the white cage? That way you could maybe make it thier feeding station and this would lessen the load on the white one. I love the look of the blue one. What is that at the back of it?

I love it and it keeps the mess down because of the perspex front and back (picture of blossom trees behind perspex at back) but it is so not practical, everything has to go into the side bars and the two small doors are on either side panel. HOWEVER along with 5 hours christmas shopping with my daughter today, i have been fiddling and managed to replace the front panel with mesh just got to sort out how to put a large door in it.
