Does anyone know what is wrong with my budgee?

It looks like the pecker has cavities in it and the feathers around the pecker drop off. and i think he has paraisites?

I'd say that it is possibly scaley face but I can't be certain without a clearer photo of her face.

can i treat it with parrafine?

No you need to buy Ivermectin 0.1% strength- the other stuff is dangerous to use on a budgie. You apply one drop to your budgie's head at the back where she can't reach to eat it. You repeat the dose but off the top of my head I can't remember if it's one week or two weeks later. Part the feathers and make sure you get it on the skin not the feathers. It is made by pharmaq and you can buy it on ebay

Ivermectin 0.1% strength is the correct dose for a budgie and the most effective medicine to use. Parrafin is a very old remedy that was used before there was a proper advanced treatment. Have a read through this about scaly face.

I hope you can get it in Holland, it will clear her scaly face up in a couple of weeks- just make sure you dose her correctly and remember to clean everything in the cage very thoroughly or replace it so she doesn't get re- infected. Let us know how you get on please, best wishes.

i bought a new cage and i will have the ivermectine tomorrow, once each 4 weeks said the package. do i transfer her to the new cage after I give her the ivermectine or after a few weeks?

You'll need to clean whatever cage the bird is in now, and also once treatment is over. Give it a really really good scrub, including all the perches and toys.
