What a beautiful little guy. If your budgie has the lutino gene, he'd either be visual(which he's not)or split (hidden). He looks like some type of yellowface, maybe spangle greywing/dilute. What are the parents mutations?

The eyes are black.
His/her mother is a blue spangle, very much like her sibling sitting next to her. His/her father is a pale grey and yellow budgie, same colours as her but with the normal pale black budgie markings (not spangle). Sorry, I'm relatively new to the genetic colouring of budgies and realise that this becomes very complicated very quickly.

I can be of no help whatsoever with the technicalities but what a little sweetie! It must be completely amazing to just come back and find such a beautiful creature has appeared in your aviary.

The budgie itself is not an Ino, but it can or cannot be split for Ino. The gen can even come from grandparents.

Shame I cannot see the comparison picture as it was taken off. This budgie's aunt now had 3 babies with similar colouring. Very pale black markings, but not as pale as this bird. It must be in the family and I'm glad I got the brother and sister parents this season!
