I've sold allot of my cages & stuff & I may have a newbie coming in a few weeks ill need a new quarantine cage. Any recomadations? must be easy to clean, not on a stand & doesnt need to be overly large & not exspensive Ideally no built in feeders & rectangle shaped rather than fancy Haven't looked online yet- bet there's loads since bought last one

Those breeder flight cages are good and inexpensive. Pack back up flat too if you need to store it. They come in a range of widths as well. In Oz, they are around $29 to $40 depending on the size. Like this. www.petmania.net.au/BreedingFlightCages.htm

From Stace's link, that BF2 is the same as my second cage - I usually put the birds in for their daily dose of sun. They aren't terribly sturdy is the only thing I have against it, so I have put a piece of plywood under the plastic tray to give it all a bit more stability. Also I never pick it up by the handle, for the same reason, the wire is all quite thin, and the cage could buckle. But they should be a good cage if you aren't moving it around a lot.

I agree with Stace & Hezz. I have this cage as a spare & have recently used it for quarantine. Phineas still sleeps overnight in it. Like Hezz says, it's not great quality but does the job. It folds flat which is an added advantage when it's not in use.

I see dimensions now Nat: Height 20 inches, Depth 14 in, width 18 in.
Sounds fine for a quarantine/travel, even hospital cage.

My quarantine cages are not different than other cages as birds spend 4 to 6 weeks in quarantine cage and they need space during all that time.

You are right, BB, but I get mine out after (or before) a week. I can't keep them locked up, too soft, and they are totally separate from the upstairs lot.

Then a smaller cage would work if they are getting outside cage time
