Exactly how severe does a tail bob have to be for it to be a concern? I noticed that Kiiro (Yes it's her again, seems to be something new that's wrong with her all the time! : has a tail bob, sometimes it looks bad, sometimes it's barely noticeable. Had a search on Dr. Google and it seems a slight bob is perfectly normal and a 'severe' bob is bad. I'll try and get a video up to show but just wondering, other than respiratory diseases is there anything else than can cause a tail bob? Seems like all I do is worry with this bird!

I'll try Barrie, it just seems everytime I look at her there's a new 'warning sign' of an illness.
Here's the video I managed to capture, it's as steady as I could get my hand but you can still see the bobbing.
I'll get some Wheeze-Eeze, cheers.

Hi Luke - My Booj has the same issue and has since I got him in June. He did have an e-coli infection about 2 months ago for which he was treated but his tail still bobs. I considered calling the vet back and may still, but he seems his normal self in all other ways. I checked out your video and that is about the degree his bobs as well. Have you gotten any other answers or opinions? Just curious.... Jackie

Two of mine bob more than that, Luke. I know it is easy to become paranoid, especially as we want to do the right thing and not leave them sitting around sick if we can do something to help, but really is there anything else that she is doing that concerns you? I find if the birds have been having a full on fly around they will land and breathe heavily, wings slightly out from the body, and their tails bob.
