My lot have never been keen on boiled egg but this morning i had a Nigella moment, now these are very rare to say the least . I thought i would add a bit of this and a bit of that and even put a tiny bit of honey in, mmmmmm. They repelled back in horror when i put it in their bowls and needless to say four hours later it all went in the bin . Seed junkies is what they are and they like their fruit and veg in big slices so that they can bite and chuck it everywhere . Tykes.

Chunks rather than minced might be worth a try?
You could serve it in a bigger dish or bowl with some seed sprinkled in / on / around for encouragement.
I guess I'm lucky as my 6 will stick their beaks into anything. This morning they demolished a clump of rosemary even chewing the twig itself. This afternoon they nibbled at apple slices.
About the only thing I've chopped up for them so far is hard boiled egg - once in the cage it's advisable to stand back. They love it.

Chunks with my lot im afraid, and not in a bowl, it has to be stuck in the bars for them . Boiled egg NO WAY shape or form. I even sprinkled millet on the top of today's culinary masterpiece, now they never refuse millet but they did today. What they get used to i suppose.

Definitely chunks, and skewered around the cage - that's my lot too! They will eat from a dish if it is really worth it, but generally it's a bamboo skewer, chunks of veggies and a clothes peg! They are right into the stylish things in life!!!! NOT!! But really, the more natural the better, don't you think?

Your right about the more natural, they wouldn't find Nigella in the bush that's for sure . I love to make them forage around anyway .

Mmmmmmm!!! Looks like a budgie feast! My budgies would probably love that! Always trying new things! Sadly, I can't make anything with egg in it as they are in an aviary and the egg can't be left in there long and they would drop it on the ground, I wouldn't see it and they would get down there and eat it 2 days later! Better to be safe than sorry!!!

I love the portrait gallery Nicola.
I started something similar for mine but we are still "discussing" names here.

Thankyou Learner :)As I don't have photoshop and it is really expensive, I thought I could do it. But after a lot of fidling around on Microsoft Office Word Document, I finally got something good Nicola

Mine only like chunks of veg stuck through the aviary wire! Same stuff made into an apetising looking dish.....no chance lol. They also seem not to like sweet stuff like fruit I think your portrait gallery is great too Nicola. In about a hundred years I might work out how to do one lol
