I agree with Hezz. I think it sounds like a girl as well. A female budgie 16 weeks old will have a powdery blue/white cere, whereas a 16 week old male budgie will have a purple/pinkish cere. For example: Here is my young female budgie, Daisy. Here is my male budgie, Gilbert, the day he came out of the nest. This is what a young male budgies cere should look like. Gilbert is the green one. The other baby budgie is Gilbert's sister, Georgia. Although the cere looks the same colour, Georgia has white around her nostrils. The white suggests female. Here is another of my young male budgies, Digger. He is about the same age as Daisy. Don't mind the brown stuff on his cere. He was a bit messy with his food You can see the difference between Daisy and Diggers cere. Daisy is female. Digger is male. Hope this helps! Nicola

Bigger, better pictures with different angles and lights are required for sex and mutation.

She looks to be a sky blue yellow face spangle. If she was opaline as well you would see the body colour also in the wing markings, but I can't see any there. Yellow faces come in 2 types. Type 1 is where the blue colour remains its true blue colour and doesn't have any greeness in it. Type 2 is where the yellow leaks into the body colour turning it a blue/green. This can vary alot and some yellow face budgies after moulting can appear almost as though they are an actual green budgie!
